Ex-Salesforce exec raises $20M to fix enterprise AI's deployment problem
Efrat Rapoport, whose earlier startup Bonobo AI was acquired by Salesforce, has raised a $20 million pre-seed round for June, which scans legacy business systems to auto-build AI agent workflows.

June has emerged from stealth with a $20 million pre-seed round led by Marc Benioff's Time Ventures, with Michael Dell, Aaron Levie and George Kurtz also participating. The company is led by CEO Efrat Rapoport, a former Salesforce executive whose prior startup, Bonobo AI, was acquired by Salesforce in 2019.
Rapoport and her three co-founders are targeting a specific, unglamorous problem: most companies can't actually put AI agents to work inside their existing software because integrating them into legacy systems like Salesforce or ServiceNow is slow and expensive. June's platform scans a company's systems, flags the bottlenecks, and auto-generates agent workflows to fix them.
Before AI can create value, someone has to deal with legacy systems.
That framing – Rapoport's own – is the bet behind June: that the next wave of enterprise AI value won't come from flashier models, but from the unglamorous work of making them actually run inside messy, real-world IT stacks.
