GlossGenius, the salon booking-and-payments platform founded a decade ago by twin sisters Danielle and Leah Cohen-Shohet, has raised a $44 million Series D at a $1.15 billion valuation. The company is renaming itself Genius AI as it expands from beauty businesses into spas, massage therapy, chiropractic and fitness studios.

The platform now serves around 125,000 businesses, processes roughly $7 billion a year in sales, and generates close to $200 million in annual revenue. The rebrand reflects a pivot from scheduling software toward broader AI-powered operations tools for small service businesses.

Bringing out their genius and helping them be more present with their clients.

That's how co-founder Danielle Cohen-Shohet describes the goal of the AI layer – automating the admin work so business owners can focus on clients rather than software, a pitch aimed squarely at the small operators who make up the bulk of Genius AI's customer base.
